8 Tips from Dermatologists For Gorgeous Skin

8 Tips from Dermatologists For Gorgeous Skin

We all wish of a flawless and glowing skin, but it’s not always easy to figure out the skin care routine that will work best for you with new products constantly hitting the shelves and the seemingly endless skin care advice out there on the internet. You know the essentials — drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep, and wash your face and hair, but what about it all? Here is a list of some of the best skincare tips from dermatologists and top beauty experts.

Practice a facial massage to fight wrinkles

At night, several people frown and scrunch their noses, contributing to frown lines and crow feet. Perform a facial acupressure for a couple of minutes at bedtime to calm your mind. Press over your inner eyebrows, ears, and keep each for 10 seconds next to your nostrils.

Apply sunscreen to your neck, chest, hands, and face

Apply sunscreen well before face then to your neck, chest, arms, and hands – because these areas age quicker, and are more difficult to change than face. We often forget to apply sunscreen there even if they are as exposed to the face.

Use hydrocortisone to fight swelling in a crisis

Exfoliate skin the night before a major event, and use over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream instead of moisturizer and eye cream. It is an anti-inflammatory medication that takes care of any swelling, under the eye pits, puffiness and redness. Also don’t misuse it, it just has its side effects like anything used in large amounts.

Always use an eye cream

The skin of the eyelid is the thinnest and most delicate skin, and the quickest indicates age. Thus, while the aisle of skin care may be extremely daunting, it is worth spending some time there. Look for peptides and antioxidants on the list of ingredients in an eye cream to ensure efficacy.

Sleep on a silk pillowcase

Perhaps you’ve heard stories about sleep lines: The way you snooze can leave unsightly lines on your face. But what could the pesky lines really impact? The material to snooze on. With silk, your face will slide against the pillow — not crunch. This means you will avoid even the marks (and you’ll be more comfortable!) possibilities.

Don’t use too many products

To lay all at once on several skincare items is a major no-no. This can be hard on the face, contributing to more breakouts and obstructed pores.

Hydrate your skin inside and out

We spoke to every skin expert stressing the importance of hydration. Lack of water means less radiance, and more sag. Consider products that have hydrating formulae (cleansing, moisturizing, and anti-aging). And drink about eight glasses of water a day, of course.

Eat high-antioxidant fruits and vegetables

Your skin has a natural moisture retaining barrier, and omega-3 fatty acid is essential to that. Flax seeds on your salad or even walnuts will improve your omega-3 immediately, thereby improving your skin’s ability to hold on to moisture. So make sure to eat a diet low in high glycemic index foods (simple and complex carbohydrates).
