Taxi Transportation from the Airport

There are plenty of taxis, Uber, Lyft and limos ready to take you from the airport to your hotel, Downtown Vegas or the Vegas Strip.

It takes about 10 to 12 minutes to go from the airport to the Vegas Strip and about 20 minutes from the airport to Downtown Vegas.

If there is traffic congestion, it can take 20 to 30 minutes during rush hour to go from the airport to the Vegas Strip and about 60 minutes from the airport to Downtown Vegas.

If you prefer a limo, they are available in several sizes to accommodate business, honeymoon and group travelers’ needs.

Airport Shuttle Buses

If you are traveling with a large group or have a lot of luggage, you may want to consider an airport shuttle bus that accommodates 6 to 20 people. You can usually find space within one of these shuttles located outside the airport, but if you want to make sure you are in it you may want to make a reservation. Be warned, even with a reservation some shuttle owners will make you wait till the shuttle is full.

City Buses

There are several city buses available for your convenience. All of them will take you from the airport to Fremont Street via either the Bonneville Bus Transfer or Southern Bus Transfer. Bus 108 and Bus 109 are about four blocks to Fremont Street.

The Wax Bus

You can also take the Westcliff Airport Express referred to as the Wax Bus from the airport to the Vegas Strip or Downtown Vegas. This is a way that you can get to your hotel, but the downside is that it will be more crowded than many other options like calling a Lyft.

Car rental

Car rentals are available at the airport to help you get around Las Vegas. They can be reserved in advance with a travel agent online or off. This is great if you are going to be going off the strip for dining or entertainment, however most casinos will charge you to park even if you are seeing a show there that night, so you may end up in another means of transportation on your day to day during the trip. There are many people who come from all over the world so driving around the strip can be pretty hectic when it’s busy. If you get hit in a car crash you’ll want to contact an automobile accident attorney to make sure that the costs to your rental car and your hospital bill will be covered. Don’t be afraid to call the police when you are in an accident, even if you are a tourist. When you decide which type of transportation you prefer to get around Las Vegas, factor in the time it will take with each mode of transportation. That way, you make the most of your time in Las Vegas.
