This tower has five storeys and each one has a balcony. The balcony of the first floor is of 15 meters in diameter and then it starts reducing by every floor and it gets reduced to 5 meters at the top floor. The first three floors of this magnificent monument have been built with the help of red sand stones and the rest of the two floors are made from marbles and red sand stones. The other special thing is, in the premise of this monument there is the first ever built mosque of India and its name is Quwwatul Islam mosque. When one is entering the mosque. They will get to read an inscription written on the entry gate of the mosque. Apart from that mosque, there stands an iron pillar which is said to be very sacred. It is believed that, if one can hold the pillar with their hands from the back, their wish can be fulfilled.

He could only build the basement of the building before he died. Then came the next king, whose name was Iltutmish and he built the first three storeys of this monument. Finally, the last two towers were built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq.
