Sony’s Flagship Extension, Xperia ZR Available For Pre-order

The Japanese Smartphone company Sony has come up with an extension to its flagship model, Xperia Z in the market, with a few features that are better than the previous one, named as Xperia ZR. The new flagship model, ZR is listed on various sites with an official price of Rupees 30,990/- and is available for pre-order at a price of Rupees 29,990/-. While, the phone was originally launched with four variants of colors, the pre-order booking is available for three colors only, namely black, pink and white.
Like its predecessor model, Xperia Z, the new model Xperia ZR is also available with water and duct resistant features, but not only this, the phone allows you to click photographs and record HD quality 720p videos even when you are with the phone underwater. The phone has been tested by immersing the device in 1.5 meter fresh water for a time period of up to 30 minutes.

The estimated launch of the product is listed on many e-commerce websites to be 15^th of June, while, the product is said to be delivered within 2 days of its shipping.
The display of the phone is a TFT type capacitive touchscreen that comes with a new technology by the company name OptiContrast, which reduces the gap between the touch panel and the display screen thus making the device slimmer than before. The screen size of the product is 4.6 inches with a pixel density of 323ppi, having a resolution of 720*1280. The display comes with a multitouch feature of up to 10 finger touch. The display is powered with the mobile Bravia 2 Engine by Sony and has a shatterproof glass with resistance to scratches.
The device runs on the version 4.1 of the Android OS and is equipped with a 1.5GHz quad core processor by Snapdragon along with an Adreno 320 GPU. The device comes with an internal memory of 8GB that can be extended with a memory card support for 32GB memory.
The main attraction of the device comes with its 13MP camera, with a resolution of 4128*3096 pixels with an LED flash and autofocus features that distinguishes it from other products of the same range. The camera is able to record 1080p videos at the rate of 30 frames per second. There are various features made available to the camera like face detection, touch focus, stabilization, geo tagging and many more. The device also features a front camera of VGA quality for video calling features.

This powerful device is backed up by a 2300 mAh Li-ion battery that provides a standby time of up to 470 hours in 2G mode and up to 520 hours in 3G mode. Also, it offers a great talktime of 11 hours in 2G mode and a talktime of up to 13 hours in 3G mode.
For connectivity related terms, this device has a long list of connectivity features including 4G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, NFC and DLNA GPS.
