Lost in the Beauty of Inka Jungle Trek:

The Inka Jungle Trek is in the top 5 of the best tourist routes in the world and is the leader in attendance in Latin America. This route is one of the few surviving from ancient times.

The Inka Empire during its existence (XI-XVI centuries) built a system of more than 40,000 kilometers of roads connecting the distant ends of a huge Empire, ranging from northern Ecuador South to Santiago (Chile) and east to Mendoza (Argentina).

The roads of the Inka Jungle are a network of stone trails, wide enough so that two or three people can walk along them and narrow paths for accompanying travelers. The ascents and descents of the roads are also paved with stone, forming solid steps.

The city of Cusco is the center of the great Inka Empire nearly all the main roads in the mountains in the vicinity of Cusco is built by the Inkas. However, the most famous became the most beautiful 43 km stretch of road passing by the archaeological sites of the area and leading to the best creation of the Inkas – the ancient city of Machu Picchu.

Ideal route for trekking lovers:

Adventure lovers from around the world come to Inka Jungle Trek to experience the power of nature for a few days, enjoy the freshness of mountain air, awaken, renew consciousness, recharge your batteries, test yourself for endurance and gain a sense of peace and harmony with yourself and nature.

For 43 kilometers on the Inka Jungle, grassy plains, dense subtropical forests with ferns, orchids, and moss, steep ascents and descents of stone steps, ruins of archaeological structures of the Incas and agricultural terraces, views of snow-capped mountains and river valleys, wind the sun. Your every day on the road will not be like the previous one.

Climate and temperature:

Tours of the Inca Trail are held all year round, although the period from April to October is the most comfortable for the route since these months have a dry season in Peru with a low probability of rain.

January and March are the months of the rainy season so it is likely that you will not be able to fully enjoy the beauty of the route.

June, July, and August are the months of the “high season” when there may not be enough places in groups, therefore if you are planning a trip during this period. Make sure to book places for the tour for several months in advance.

Important things to know about Inka Jungle Trek:

Access to Inka Jungle is under strict control: by the decision of the Peruvian government, only authorized tour operators to have the right to sell and conduct this tour. Tourists without guides are not allowed on the route. All accompanying guides are required to have a special license. Every day, only 500 people are allowed on the route of which only 200 are tourists and the rest are guides, porters, and cooks. Advance booking is required.
