House Cleaning Tips While Staging Your Home For Sale

House Cleaning Tips While Staging Your Home For Sale

When you are planning to put up your home for sale, cleaning is the first and the most important thing you can do to attract a potential buyer. A cleaner and clutter-free home looks good and sells faster any day. In fact, you can choose to postpone the few renovations that your home needs and instead, maintain it well, which is something you can do in very less time and with minimal costs. Most homeowners tend to ignore or overlook the cleaning aspect because they undermine the importance of a clean home and the much-desired first impression that it creates.

So, if you are up for selling off your once prized possession in one of the residential projects in Kankurgachi, here is a list of cleaning tips you can follow.

House Cleaning Tips While Staging Your Home For Sale

  • To begin with, create a checklist of everything that needs to be done. This will save much of your time when you set about doing the actual work. Inspect the entire house with an eye for detail and spot the areas that need immediate and maximum attention. Remember in this regard that any potential homebuyer will make it a point to check the kitchen and the bathroom so keep these areas clean and free of dirt.
  • As the next step, free your home of any kind of clutter. Cleaning becomes easy as well as effective when you have already moved the clutter out of your home. Keep things like tote bags, cubbies and small baskets handy to keep things in place and not let the dirt spread.
  • Start off with your cleaning activities by cleaning the window panes first. Cleaned windows enhance the overall appearance of your home to a very significant extent. If you have not paid much heed to cleaning windows so far, you will be surprised by how this small task makes your rooms look brighter and more welcoming. Window cleaning does not take much time only if you know the right way of going about it. Brush off the dirt, remove the grime off the screens and scrub it thoroughly with a window cleaning solution. And you will have sparkling windows.
  • The next cleaning activity on your list should be the carpets. The effort involved in moving the furniture and waiting long for the fibres to dry is what usually turns off many people from carpet cleaning. But this task does not have to be difficult. The best way of tackling the stains and dirt on the carpet is by using a powdered carpet cleaner or baking soda. Just sprinkle it on the carpet and leave it for at least 30 minutes or more. This will help to soften the stains and consume the odour. Vacuum clean the powder once done.

Once you have removed the clutter and cleaned the windows and carpets, half of your job is done and be assured that your home is looking much better than before. Clean the small areas eventually and follow the other tips given by your dealer while staging your home for sale.
