Tips On Choosing The Best Bridal Lehenga For Your Special Day

Themed weddings have become quite common in today’s modern culture and the Indian theme is quite attractive to brides all over the world. The tradition of choosing the bridal gown has never changed and there is always a huge fuss around it. The same applies for the bridal lehenga and Saree, the traditional dress of Indian women during weddings. Choosing the right bridal lehenga is essential to bring out your natural beauty on your special day. There are a number of things to consider when buying designer lehengas online.

What is Your Body Type?

There are five basic body shapes for women. Pear shaped or bottom heavy women should avoid hip hugging dresses, choose dresses with simple and straight cuts and light printed sarees. The same applies for top heavy women or apple shaped as well. women with the hour glass figure are the luckiest since almost any kind of dress or print will suit you. The choice of dress will boil down to height and complexion.

Slim shaped women look great with lehengas that add volume to the frame. Tissue cloth with a baggy fit will look great, also fluffy or balloon design around the waist will make for a perfect look. However, women who are heavy on all sides should avoid any kinds of pleats, bold prints of flared clothing. Simple design with plain colors and simple prints look great.

Tips On Choosing The Best Bridal Lehenga For Your Special Day

What is Your Complexion?

The color of your outfit can either enhance or diminish your complexion since every color has a different effect on your skin. Remember that the inner facing part of your dupatta or head scarf matters a lot because it is the color that will be closest to your face and more visible in pictures. There are three major types of complexions and you can know yours by looking at the inner part of your thigh or arm.

Very fair skinned women should go for dark and rich colors like pink and shades of blue. Fair skinned women can choose to wear neutral colors such as cool pink and yellow pastels. Women with gold or brown undertones can wear rich and warm colors like orange, gold, brown and shades of grey. They should avoid bright pastels. Women with a dark undertone should go for pale colors and brighter colors avoiding black or white.

Blouse and Dupatta

The blouse and dupatta are more important than the lehenga skirt. These are the parts of the outfit closest to your face and should enhance your natural beauty the most. The photographer will also focus on your face and head shots so the lehenga skirt will rarely be an item of focus. Therefore, you should choose the blouse and dupatta first.

Buy the Jewelry First

Jewelry is a big part of the outfit and you should match the lehenga to the jewelry. Jewelry is a huge investment that you can wear even after the wedding or pass down to your children. Give priority to a necklace that you love because there are not too many jewelers with a huge variety of designs but there are plenty of lehengas to choose.
