After 4 years of research doctors have found that there is link between child obesity and asthma, buy doctors have found that it is little difficult to determine which tends to come first, or one causes the other one.
The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), suggested that probably children obesity contributes asthma, but the connections are complex and it has many factors to figure out. And a study published with this issue in the journal Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the scientific publication.
Lead author allergist PerditaPermaul said that the relationship between obesity and asthma in adults, which shows that being overweight and obese can precede the onset of asthma, is supported by a number of studies.
Compared with adults, it is commonly seen with child obesity contributes to asthma rather than the other way said lead author Perdita Permaul.
The main reason that shows why children obesity cause asthma, researchers study shows that children with rapid growth in the BMI body mass index within the first 2 years of the child’s life increases the risk of asthma up to 6 years of the children age.
While in the research it has also shown that within the duration of obesity the consumption of fat foods which leads to excess of fat in children that can affect children’s lung functions.
The study stated that children eat a lot, well, it’s good for them, but the parents work is to schedule them with some proper after school club and other regular exercise, this helps them to keep healthy from many other unhealthy effects. Doctors regularly get confused that constricting of the airways caused by asthma causes kids to not want to exercise, and therefore to gain unhealthy amounts of weight. And this is the main reason children gain overweight and the airways narrow and it develops asthma in the children.
ACAAI president allergist Michael Foggs said that in these generation kids suffers from asthma also has different allergies.
The allergies will be responded in the lungs and leads to symptoms of allergy, like coughing, wheezing breathing and other lung problems. Keeping asthma patients healthy means make sure they are breathing well and getting habit of regular playing and exercise.
