The nations of Singapore and India have enjoyed a very friendly and beneficial relationship over the last few years, really helping to contribute to the economies of one another as well as the cultures and business environments that both have worked so hard to protect and expand.

The Singapore Tourism Board looks to boost activity to and from India significantly
According to information released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), Singapore was visited by more than 1 million people from India for the first time in a single year in 2016, and they want to increase this number just as quickly as humanly possible to get more and more citizens of India visiting Singapore and embracing everything that this unique culture has to offer.
As mentioned above, in recent years the people of Singapore and India (especially in the government) have been working tirelessly to forge new relationships and partnerships with one another. Singapore has made significant investments in the infrastructure and industry in India, and the people of India have rewarded this confidence by becoming the fourth largest visitor source to Singapore behind Indonesia, China, and Malaysia.
Visitors from India are off almost 15% from just 10 short years ago, and the STB is looking for new ways and new initiatives to bring even more people from India over. Working together to create family-friendly vacation packages, millennial packages that include work and educational plan, cruise travel solutions, and a whole host of new investments in foreign cuisine and culture hotspots. The STB is aggressively going after the Indian market when it comes to international travel and becoming the “go to” global hotspot for that country.
In 2017 alone, Singapore is looking to bring close to 1.25 million new visitors into the country from India and they are hoping to do so with a whole host of attractions designed to entice those individuals.
The new Genting Dream experience – a luxury cruise liner that will target travel in Southeast Asia – is going to make its home in Singapore, and this ship alone is likely to entice hundreds of thousands to visit Singapore that may not have visited otherwise.
It’s a very exciting time in the world of tourism for the Singapore people, and India is benefiting significantly from the focus that Singapore is paying their people.
