- Never use a gun when you are angry, stressed out, or depressed. On top of everything, you also want to remind yourself to stay away from your firearm when you are not in the best spirits. If you are angry, you could do something you regret or you could use your gun in an unsafe way. In the end, it is best to only use your gun when you have a clear head and when you can make rational decisions.
