Also one of Brisbane’s lively festivals is the Anywhere Theatre Festival held every May. A truly unique festival, Anywhere Theatre Festival celebrates amazing theatre performances held anywhere except the traditional theatre space. The festival, which started in 2011, gathers theatre enthusiasts and artists from all over Australia. Also some of the much-anticipated celebratory festivals are the Caxton Street Food and Wine Festival that promotes and celebrates Australian music, seafood and wine, the Paniyiri Greek Festival, a fest which brings Australian Greek communities together and the Brisbane Pride Festival, an event which promotes and lauds queer culture.
