Buenos Aires

The capital city of Argentina is a cool and vibrant place to explore. It is a city of contrasts as  there are thriving modern aspects such as the music scene and the art scene but the city also keeps up it’s traditions. There are Tango dancers in every main street, modern version of Tango music is played everywhere, the influence is in the very pores of the city.
Whilst in Buenos Aires it would be a big mistake not to see a Tango show where the dancing is usually astounding.
Try La Ventana Tango Show as it is a very authentic experience. The show is set in the district of San Telmo – it’s an old part of the city where Tango has it’s roots. If you are really not interested in dance, take a chance as Tango is a sexy  moving performance that easily sums up the culture of Argentina.

Patagonia

Getting to Patagonia entails a two hour flight from Buenos Aires and after leaving the aircraft it hits you. The air is perfect. The pure air quality makes you feel as though Buenos Aires is a different country. The scenery is very special in this little visited part of the world. Bariloche is in the  Lake District of Argentina and it brings a big wow factor with it.
It is on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi and it has all the looks of a Swiss mountain village. It is a sophisticated town and it is a great place to explore the lakes from. Hiring a car is the only way to see what is available in this part of the world.

Iguazu

This is an excellent option if you are travelling with children because it is hard not to be impressed with the fantastic Iguazu Falls. They are the biggest in South America and are set in a steamy jungle. There’s plenty of wildlife roaming about to impress all family members. Do not be surprised to see huge metallic butterflies fluttering by because they are everywhere that you look.
The Coatis run around causing mischief and the graceful Toucans glide by. The jungle itself is great fun but the waterfalls are magnificent. Take a boat for an up close look or take the train to the platform and look at them from a height.

Argentina is a fabulous place to visit. It is a sophisticated  country with many contrasts in it’s landscapes. The country is huge and it is better to take some time to explore the treasures hidden inside.
